From sequels to fresh adaptations, and debut performances to established stars, here's a sneak peek into four rom-coms to watch out for in theaters this July.

Metro… In Dino (July 4, 2025)

Anurag Basu, known for his slice-of-life narratives and soulful music, is back with Metro… In Dino. Described as a "spiritual sequel" to his critically acclaimed 2007 film, Life in a… Metro, this anthology film weaves together multiple stories of contemporary couples navigating love, fate, and the complexities of city life. The film boasts a stellar cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher.

The trailer, launched in early June 2025, offers glimpses into intertwined relationships, showcasing the heartwarming and often humorous realities of urban romance. Pritam, who also composed music for Life in a... Metro, has created the soundtrack for Metro... In Dino. Several singles, including "Zamaana Lage," "Dil Ka Kya," "Mann Ye Mera," and "Aur Mohabbat Kitni Karoon" have already been released and are generating buzz.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan (July 11, 2025)

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan marks the Bollywood debut of Shanaya Kapoor, who stars alongside Vikrant Massey in this romantic drama directed by Santosh Singh. Adapted from Ruskin Bond's short story, "The Eyes Have It," the film explores the connection between a visually impaired musician (Massey) and a theater artist (Kapoor).

The teaser hints at a tender love story that blossoms during a train journey, highlighting themes of perception, human connection, and the nuances of modern relationships. Vishal Mishra is composing the music, and his involvement has heightened anticipation for the film's soundtrack. The film's release date was announced in April 2025 by Zee Studios and principal photography concluded in early 2025 after filming in Mussoorie and Mumbai.

Aap Jaisa Koi (July 11, 2025)

Aap Jaisa Koi, directed by Vivek Soni, is a modern romantic comedy featuring R. Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles. The film explores themes of vulnerability, belonging, and emotional openness in contemporary relationships. Madhavan plays Shrirenu Tripathi, a reserved Sanskrit teacher, while Shaikh portrays Madhu Bose, an energetic French instructor. The movie is set to premiere on Netflix.

Saiyaara (July 18, 2025)

Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara is an intense romantic drama marking the Bollywood debut of Ahaan Panday (Ananya Panday's cousin) opposite Aneet Padda. Touted as an emotional love story with Suri's signature depth and soulful music, the film is produced under the Yash Raj Films banner.
