In the world of cinema, numerous artists have entered the field without initially aspiring to be actors. Destiny, however, had different plans for them, leading them to the silver screen. One such individual is Raashii Khanna, a prominent figure in both South Indian and Bollywood films.

Khanna excelled academically throughout her school and college years. She had dreams of becoming an IAS officer, dedicating herself to her studies with the goal of serving her country. However, fate intervened, steering her toward the world of acting, where she has since captivated audiences with her performances.

Before her foray into the film industry, Khanna was a bright student, a topper in her class. She completed her schooling in Delhi at St. Mark's Senior Secondary Public School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in English from Lady Shri Ram College, also in Delhi. During her academic life, she was known as a studious and dedicated student. While young, she initially considered becoming a singer, but her focus shifted to academics as she grew older. She never considered modeling or acting.

Khanna's journey into the film industry began unexpectedly. During her college years, she briefly worked as a copywriter for advertisements. This experience led to her involvement in various advertisements, which eventually paved the way for her entry into films.

Her debut in Bollywood came with the 2013 film "Madras Cafe," a political spy thriller directed by Shoojit Sircar. In the film, she played Ruby Singh, the wife of an Indian intelligence officer portrayed by John Abraham, who also produced the movie. Khanna had to attend acting workshops to prepare for the role. Her performance, though brief, was well-received, with critics noting her impactful presence. The film was a box-office success.

Following her Bollywood debut, Khanna ventured into South Indian cinema, where she quickly established herself as a leading actress in Telugu and Tamil films. She has appeared in several commercially successful films, earning praise for her acting skills and versatility. Some of her notable works in Telugu cinema include "Oohalu Gusagusalade," "Supreme," and "Venky Mama." In Tamil, she has starred in films like "Imaikkaa Nodigal" and "Thiruchitrambalam." In 2024, she starred in "Aranmanai 4".

In addition to her acting career, Khanna has also showcased her vocal talents by singing a few songs in different languages. She has also appeared in web series such as "Rudra: The Edge of Darkness" and "Farzi."

Raashii Khanna's journey from an academic topper with aspirations of becoming an IAS officer to a successful actress is a testament to the unpredictable nature of life. While she initially pursued a different path, fate led her to the world of cinema, where she has found success and recognition.
