The LIV Golf League is back in Texas for the 2025 LIV Golf Dallas tournament, marking the ninth event of the season. Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas, is hosting the event from June 27-29. This year, it's an individual tournament, a change from last year when Maridoe hosted the Team Championship won by Ripper GC.
Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm are co-favorites with odds around 5-1. DeChambeau hopes to win in his home state, having gone to school nearby at SMU. He already has a win this season in Korea and is second in the season-long points race. Rahm, third in the standings, is still seeking his first LIV victory despite consistently finishing in the top 10. Joaquin Niemann, leading the individual standings with four wins, is also a top contender with odds around 7-1.
Other players to watch include Tyrrell Hatton (around 17/2 odds), coming off a strong major finish at the U.S. Open. Longshots like Sergio Garcia (+4000), Dustin Johnson (+5000), and Phil Mickelson (+8000) could also surprise.
Several Texas residents will be competing, including DeChambeau, Carlos Ortiz, Sergio Garcia, Abraham Ancer, and Patrick Reed.
The course at Maridoe Golf Club is a long one, playing over 7,500 yards as a par 72. While this might favor long hitters like DeChambeau and Rahm, last year's team victory by Ripper GC showed the importance of scrambling and putting.
The tournament has a $25 million purse, with $4 million going to the winner. The winning team will receive $3 million, second place gets $1.5 million, and third place gets $500,000.
The event will be broadcast on the Fox Sports Network, including FS1 and Fox Business Network, as well as streaming on the Fox Sports App and LIV Golf Plus.
Several players will head to qualify for the Open Championship at Portrush following the event in Dallas.
