Following the news of her death, Shefali Jariwala's husband, Parag Tyagi, and her Rakhi brother, Hindustani Bhau, were both seen arriving at Cooper Hospital in Mumbai. Shefali's body was taken to Cooper Hospital for a postmortem to determine the cause of death. While initial reports suggested a cardiac arrest, police have stated that the exact cause of death remains unknown.
Parag Tyagi was visibly distraught upon arriving at the hospital and was seen requesting the paparazzi for privacy with folded hands, saying, "Please, mat karo". Hindustani Bhau, also known as Vikas Fhatak, appeared emotional and devastated as he reached Cooper Hospital. He was mobbed by the paparazzi outside the hospital. Hindustani Bhau and Shefali Jariwala shared a close bond, which developed during their time together on Bigg Boss 13. She considered him her Rakhi brother and tied him Rakhi every year on Raksha Bandhan. Grieving the loss, Hindustani Bhau said that she was like a daughter to him.
