Round 1, #28 Overall: Sascha Boumedienne, D

With their first-round pick, 28th overall, the Jets selected Sascha Boumedienne, a defenseman from Boston University (NCAA). The left-handed Swede stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 175 pounds. Boumedienne is known for his shot, transition play, and offensive capabilities. Before joining Boston University, he was considered among the top Swedish prospects. Scouts have noted that his skills haven't fully translated to the NCAA game yet.

Round 3, #92 Overall: Owen Martin, C

In the third round, with the 92nd overall pick, the Jets chose Owen Martin, a center from the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League (WHL). The Oakbank, Manitoba native, born on May 11, 2007, is a right-handed shot, standing at 6 feet tall and weighing 185 pounds. During the 2024-25 season, Martin recorded 34 points (13 goals, 21 assists) in 39 games, improving upon his previous season's performance. He further contributed 12 points (6 goals, 6 assists) in 20 playoff games as the Chiefs reached the WHL Final. Mark Hillier, the Jets' Director of Amateur Scouting, described Martin as an "intriguing player" with good size, skating ability, skill, and a smart two-way game.

Round 5, #156 Overall: Viktor Klingsell, LW

The Jets selected Viktor Klingsell, a left winger from Skelleftea AIK J20 (SHL), with the 156th overall pick in the fifth round. Born on February 10, 2007, the 5-foot-10, 187-pound Swede tallied 39 points (17 goals, 22 assists) in 43 games with SkellefteƄ AIK in the J20 Nationell ranks. He also played three games with SkellefteƄ in the SHL. Klingsell added 11 points (7 goals, 4 assists) in nine playoff games as SkellefteƄ won the J20 silver medal. He also had success on the international stage, amassing 42 points (17 goals, 25 assists) in 29 games at the U18 level. Scouts praise Klingsell's hockey sense and playmaking abilities, noting his potential to create scoring chances.

Round 6, #188 Overall: Edison Engle, D

With their sixth-round pick, 188th overall, the Jets selected Edison Engle, a defenseman from the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Born on February 15, 2007, the left-handed shooting, American defenseman stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 175 pounds. Engle split the 2024-25 season between the Des Moines Buccaneers and the Dubuque Fighting Saints. In 34 games with Dubuque, he scored 2 goals and added 11 assists for 13 points.

Round 7, #220 Overall: Jacob Cloutier, RW

In the seventh and final round, with the 220th overall pick, the Jets chose Jacob Cloutier, a right winger from the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Cloutier, born on March 22, 2007, is a right-handed shot, standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 171 pounds. In 67 games with Saginaw, Cloutier scored 23 goals and added 24 assists for 47 points. He was also named to the OHL's Second All-Rookie Team. Hillier noted Cloutier's speed, quickness, skill, and competitiveness.

Overall, the Winnipeg Jets' 2025 draft class reflects a focus on adding skill, hockey sense, and potential to their prospect pool. While it may take several years to see these players develop into NHL regulars, their selection represents an investment in the future of the Jets organization.
