The Milwaukee Brewers suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Colorado Rockies in extra innings, falling 4-3 on Sunday. The game, played at American Family Field, saw a tight contest with lead changes and late-inning drama, ultimately ending with a Rockies victory.

Sal Frelick had a standout performance for the Brewers, hitting a solo home run. Christian Yelich also contributed with a homer. Despite these offensive sparks, the Brewers couldn't maintain their lead. Brice Turang has been a consistent performer for the Brewers, while Joey Ortiz has been hot over the last 10 games.

The Rockies, struggling with an 18-65 overall record, showed resilience on the road, where they are 10-33. Hunter Goodman continues to be a key player for Colorado, while Mickey Moniak has been productive recently.

The game remained close throughout, with the Brewers holding a lead until the late innings. In the 8th inning, a double by Doyle scored McMahon, tying the game. Then, in the top of the 9th, Arcia homered to left field, putting the Rockies ahead. The Brewers were able to extend the game when they scored a run to tie the game and send it to extra innings. In the 10th inning, Estrada singled to right, driving in Hilliard and giving the Rockies the lead. The Brewers were unable to respond in the bottom of the inning, sealing the Rockies' win.

Milwaukee is 47-36 overall and 27-16 at home. The Brewers have been strong at the plate, with a .323 on-base percentage, ranking seventh in the National League. The Rockies entered the game having won 13 of their games when they outhit their opponents.

Prior to the game, there were some player updates. Garrett Mitchell of the Brewers is scheduled for shoulder surgery. For the Rockies, Hunter Goodman was not in the starting lineup due to a hamstring issue, and Antonio Senzatela took the loss in his previous start against the Brewers.

The two teams will face off again soon. The Brewers hold a 4-1 lead in the season series.
