Pune Highway Horror: Female Minor Assaulted, Woman Robbed After Forced Stop by Bike-Riding Men.

A harrowing incident occurred on a Pune highway in the early hours of Monday, June 30, 2025, involving a minor who was allegedly sexually assaulted and three women who were robbed by two men on a motorcycle. The victims were traveling in a car with seven occupants, including the 70-year-old driver, three women, two 17-year-old boys, and a 17-year-old girl. They were en route to the temple town of Pandharpur in Solapur district from a village in Junnar tehsil of Pune district.

The incident took place around 4:15 a.m. near Bhigwan when the driver stopped the car, reportedly to relieve himself. While the car was halted near a tea stall, two unidentified men on a bike approached the vehicle. They threatened the occupants with sharp weapons and proceeded to rob the three women of their gold ornaments. Tragically, one of the accused allegedly sexually assaulted the 17-year-old girl who was traveling in the car.

law enforcement authorities have responded to the crime by forming multiple teams to apprehend the accused. Pune (Rural) Superintendent of Police Sandip Singh Gill stated that the process of registering a case is underway. A manhunt is currently in progress to trace the perpetrators.
