Mumtaz, the iconic Bollywood actress from the 1960s and 70s, is once again making headlines, not for a new film, but for her refreshingly honest views on aging, fitness, and cosmetic enhancements. At 77, she's shared her personal fitness mantra and her perspective on cosmetic procedures, particularly her preference for fillers over surgery.

Mumtaz emphasizes that fitness is not just about vanity but about feeling good. Her routine includes a strict diet, with meals consumed by 7 p.m., and dedicated workouts exceeding an hour each day. She underscores the importance of discipline, stating, "If you don't work out, you won't look good". She also revealed that she learned from Akshay Kumar to not eat after 5 or 6 PM. She also mentioned that she makes her own face and hair masks and is particular about timings.

While Mumtaz is committed to fitness, she also acknowledges the occasional need for a little extra help. She openly admits to using fillers, explaining that "sometimes when I'm too tired, I use fillers on the left and right side of my face". These fillers, she says, provide a temporary boost, lasting for about a month or two, and she gets them done every four months. Mumtaz also clarified that she has not undergone any facelifts.

Addressing the topic of plastic surgery, Mumtaz takes a non-judgmental and practical stance. She believes that "If you feel there's something lacking in you, you should fix it". She doesn't consider it a crime to undergo cosmetic surgery, stating, "Everyone wants to look good". Mumtaz even said that she would consider plastic surgery if she felt the need, questioning, "If that makes me look beautiful, why not? Everybody should do it".

Mumtaz's views come at a time when cosmetic surgery is increasingly popular, particularly among younger actresses. She refrains from criticizing this trend, instead advocating for personal choice and self-love. Her willingness to speak candidly about her own experiences and beliefs is a refreshing departure from the often secretive and carefully curated image of celebrities.

Mumtaz's last film appearance was in 1990 in "Aandhiyan". After her marriage, she stepped away from the film industry. Despite retiring at the peak of her career, Mumtaz remains an enduring icon. Her legacy continues to inspire, and her recent interviews demonstrate that aging gracefully involves a combination of personal choices and self-acceptance. In an industry that often sets unrealistic beauty standards, Mumtaz is redefining what it means to age with grace, confidence, and a touch of personal flair.
