Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has sparked controversy with his recent remarks regarding the sudden death of actress Shefali Jariwala, who passed away on June 27 at the age of 42. Amidst a raging debate about the consumption of anti-aging supplements and lifestyle choices, Ramdev weighed in on the matter with a "hardware-software" analogy, which has drawn criticism and been labeled as insensitive by many on social media.

During an interview with NDTV, Ramdev stated, "The hardware was fine, the software was faulty. The symptoms were fine, the system was faulty". He further elaborated, "There is a difference in this superficial appearance. Appearing to be one and being one are different". These comments were made in response to questions about Jariwala's unexpected demise and the broader discussion surrounding anti-aging medications.

Ramdev's statements have been met with strong reactions online, with many netizens expressing their disapproval and finding his analogy inappropriate. Social media users have called his words "insensitive" and urged for Jariwala's soul to be allowed to rest in peace, with one user commenting, "Stop this bullshit". Others have emphasized the need to let her family grieve without further speculation or judgment.

In the same interview, Ramdev also touched upon the topic of human lifespan, claiming that the natural human lifespan is not 100 years, but rather 150-200 years. He argued that modern lifestyles, with increased pressure on the brain, heart, eyes, and liver, have contributed to a reduction in life expectancy. He also suggested that people are consuming "food that is eaten in 100 years in just 25 years".

Ramdev advocated for a holistic approach to health, emphasizing the importance of yoga, a balanced diet, and a healthy lifestyle in prolonging life and maintaining overall well-being. He cited his own example, stating that at over 60 years old, he remains healthy and energetic due to his lifestyle practices. He also cautioned against interfering with the body's natural lifespan through artificial means, suggesting that such interventions could lead to internal "disasters" and health problems like heart attacks.

Jariwala's death has prompted investigations into the possible causes, with initial reports suggesting a potential cardiac arrest. Authorities are also looking into the presence of anti-aging medicines, skin glow tablets, and vitamin supplements found in her apartment. While the exact cause of death is yet to be determined, the incident has ignited a debate about the use of such supplements and their potential impact on health.

Baba Ramdev's comments have added fuel to this already sensitive discussion, drawing criticism for his choice of words and raising questions about the role of lifestyle choices in health and longevity.
