Ranveer Singh is reportedly back in action, having recently filmed a high-energy dance number for Aditya Dhar’s upcoming film, Dhurandhar. The film, an espionage thriller set in the 1970s and 1980s Pakistan, also features a star-studded cast including R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal.

Singh reportedly shot the dance sequence at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Vile Parle, Mumbai. Choreographed by Vijay Ganguly, the song is said to be a fusion of desi street beats and swagger, and is expected to be one of the film's visual highlights. Sources indicate that Singh rehearsed extensively for several days before the four-day shoot, which wrapped up on June 30. According to a source from the production team, the song has been mounted on a grand scale with elaborate set pieces and numerous background dancers. Onlookers who caught a glimpse of the shoot described Ranveer's look in the song as "fierce".

The teaser for Dhurandhar is expected to be released on July 6, coinciding with Ranveer Singh’s birthday. Some glimpses of the high-energy dance number are expected to be included in the teaser.

Dhurandhar marks Ranveer Singh’s first major role after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. A source revealed that 75 percent of the film has already been completed, with the makers aiming to wrap up production by September. The film is a period espionage thriller primarily set in Pakistan during the 1970s and 1980s, but also includes some present-day elements. The final schedule for the film was shot in Mumbai, with the production design team recreating the backdrop for these sequences in a controlled environment in Andheri. Makers are reportedly eyeing a late 2025 release for Dhurandhar.
