Ranbir Kapoor's dedication to his daughter Raha is winning hearts, as revealed by his Ramayana co-star, Indira Krishnan. In a recent interview, Krishnan, who plays Kaushalya in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming Ramayana, shared anecdotes highlighting Kapoor's humility, kindness, and devotion to his daughter.
Krishnan fondly recalled Kapoor's down-to-earth nature on set, stating that he always made her feel comfortable. She mentioned how he would pull up a chair for her, inquire about her day, and engage in thoughtful conversations. Krishnan, deeply moved by Kapoor's affection for Raha, revealed that Kapoor once told her, "Raha is my dal chawal," emphasizing the simplicity and love in his words. He would also ask Krishnan about books her son enjoyed as a child, eager to find similar ones for Raha. "Every day he would remind me, 'Ma'am, did you get the books for Raha?'" she reminisced.
Krishnan shared a heartwarming incident where Kapoor arrived on the Ramayana set with a limp. When she inquired about it, he explained, "There was a race, Indira ji… I ran for Raha. And I came first". Despite pulling a muscle, he showed up to work, exemplifying his commitment and love for his daughter. This incident, among others, solidified Krishnan's view of Kapoor as "a father before anything else".
Krishnan isn't the only one who has noticed Kapoor's dedication to his daughter. In May 2025, Kapoor was spotted taking Raha to Mount Mary Church in Mumbai while his wife, Alia Bhatt, attended the Cannes Film Festival. He was seen carrying Raha in his arms, climbing the steps to seek blessings.
Kapoor and Bhatt have been protective of Raha, requesting media to respect their privacy and refrain from publishing pictures of her face. The couple introduced Raha to the paparazzi in 2023 but have since become more cautious about her public exposure.
Ranbir Kapoor is set to portray Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, a role that has generated considerable excitement. The film, which also stars Sai Pallavi, Lara Dutta, and Yash, is slated for release in 2026.
