Tom Holland and Zendaya are making the most of their time together in England this summer, mixing work with leisure while filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The engaged couple, who have been together since their characters became a couple onscreen five years ago, have been spotted enjoying quiet moments away from the set.
Recent photos circulating on social media show the pair in Gerrards Cross, a town in Buckinghamshire. Tom was reportedly filming an emotional scene at Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey, England, set at the gravesite of Peter Parker's Aunt May, while Zendaya was there to support him. According to a fan who met the couple, Zendaya was present to support her fiancé rather than film scenes as her character, MJ.
Their day also included a visit to the local Indian restaurant Caraway Café. The restaurant shared its excitement online, posting, "Homework can wait, Gerrards Cross can't! Thrilled to be visited by the amazing @tomholland2013 and the ever so beautiful @zendaya… a moment our team will always cherish!".
This is just one of several sightings of the couple in recent weeks. Earlier this month, they were photographed walking their dogs—Zendaya's miniature schnauzer Noon and Tom's new pup Daphne—through London's Richmond Park. Earlier this month, they were also spotted in London while Holland was shooting a scene at Brookwood Cemetery in the U.K.. The two also reportedly enjoyed a coffee date in Scotland last month, and Holland visited Zendaya on the set of Euphoria back in April.
Tom and Zendaya are tipped to be in the United Kingdom for the filming of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Filming has begun in Glasgow, with the city transformed into New York City for the shoot. According to reports, Glasgow has been decked out with NYC flags, road signs, and even cars that look like they're straight from the Big Apple. Tom was reportedly seen filming for the first time in Glasgow this week, and the couple was spotted filming together for the first time on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day at Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey on August 7.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth Spider-Man film starring Holland, is set to release on July 31, 2026. The film picks up after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Peter Parker chooses to have his identity wiped from public memory. The film will see Holland and Zendaya reunite as Peter Parker and MJ. The English actor will star alongside Sadie Sink, who plays an important new character, and Zendaya, who plays Peter Parker's girlfriend, MJ. Jacob Batalon is also expected to reprise his role as Ned Leeds. Jon Bernthal's Punisher will appear, and Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner / Hulk will also reportedly be joining.
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures dropped a teaser for Spider-Man: Brand New Day on August 1, offering fans a quick look at Peter Parker's revamped costume and confirming the release date. Holland's new suit appears sleeker and more grounded, hinting at a return to basics. Fans instantly noticed that the suit has brighter red and blue tones and a noticeably larger spider logo across his chest.
In addition to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Holland and Zendaya will also star in Christopher Nolan's upcoming film, The Odyssey, which is also due next year.
Despite their busy schedules, Law Roach, Zendaya's image architect, revealed that the couple is deeply in love and have been for a long time. He mentioned that their wedding might happen next year due to Zendaya's filming schedule for multiple movies, including the next iteration of Dune.
