A photo purportedly featuring Priyanka Chopra and Mahesh Babu from the sets of SS Rajamouli's upcoming film, tentatively titled "GlobeTrotter," has taken the internet by storm. The film, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, marks a significant moment for several reasons. A Tanzanian media outlet described the film as following a "rugged explorer" on a mission to protect the world, facing both natural and human threats while uncovering a world-altering secret. The screenplay is by Rajamouli's father, Vijayendra Prasad, known for his work in "Baahubali" and "RRR".

Adding to the excitement, coinciding with Mahesh Babu's 50th birthday, Rajamouli unveiled a teaser poster for the film, tagged #GlobeTrotter. The poster features a close-up of Mahesh Babu wearing a blood-smeared vest and a pendant of Lord Shiva's trishul and Nandi, hinting at mythological elements within the movie. While it is unconfirmed whether "GlobeTrotter" is the official title, the makers announced that a full reveal is slated for November 2025.

Rajamouli acknowledged the eagerness of fans and movie lovers, explaining that the film's vast scope and scale cannot be adequately conveyed through still images or standard promotional interactions. He promised a unique and grand reveal in November to capture the full essence of the story.

"GlobeTrotter" has already secured a massive OTT deal with Netflix, marking it as one of the largest non-theatrical agreements in Indian cinema history. The music will be composed by Oscar-winning M.M. Keeravani. Production officially commenced in January 2025, with filming expected to resume in August after extensive pre-production work. A major shooting schedule is planned for Kenya. There is speculation that the film is being made on a budget of ₹1000 crore, with both Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli co-producing. A possible release date is speculated to be March 25, 2027, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of "RRR".
