SheShakti 2025 included conversations focusing on how a new generation of women is redefining leadership through action, inclusivity, equality, and empowerment. Speakers included Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister of Delhi; Nidhi Khare, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India; Mugdha Sinha, Managing Director, ITDC; and Lindy Cameron, British High Commissioner to India. The event also featured Kriti Sanon, Sanya Malhotra, Professor Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, Justice Hima Kohli, and others.
Smriti Irani shared her insights on women empowerment, leadership, and unlocking Bharat's true potential on the global stage. She also spoke about her journey, from selling books on the streets as a child to being saluted by men in uniform. Irani emphasized the importance of economic empowerment for women and highlighted partnerships with organizations like the British Council and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India to support women in the MSME sector. She also addressed ageism and societal expectations faced by women at different stages of their lives.
The event addressed challenges and breakthroughs experienced by women across various fields, exploring the role of women in shaping societies, economies, and governance structures. Discussions also covered combating human trafficking, the legal age of consent, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and the contributions of women framers of the Indian Constitution.
