The original "Gilmore Girls" series, created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, ran for seven seasons. The show centers on the relationship between Lorelai Gilmore, a young single mother, and her daughter Rory, as they navigate life in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. The series was briefly revived in 2016 with a four-part mini-series, "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," which premiered on Netflix.
A Kickstarter campaign is expected to launch soon to help finish the film. In the meantime, fans can keep tabs on the film's progress and release.
