Baseer Ali, the well-known face from reality shows like Roadies, Splitsvilla, and Ace of Space, is now entering the Bigg Boss 19 house, hosted by Salman Khan. But before stepping into the Bigg Boss arena, the actor, who also starred in Kundali Bhagya, revealed how his experiences on the set of the Zee TV show have prepared him for the "chaos and complexity" of Bigg Boss.
Ali stated that he faced "heavy politics" while working on Kundali Bhagya. He noted that while not everyone was involved, certain individuals were quite diplomatic and had ulterior motives, seeking controversy and drama. Despite these behind-the-scenes tensions, Ali maintained his composure. He focused on his peace and didn't allow them to provoke him. This experience taught him emotional restraint and mental strength, which he believes will be valuable in the Bigg Boss house.
According to Ali, Bigg Boss is the right place to express certain things he held back during his time on Kundali Bhagya. He believes that experiences should be expressed at the right time and in the right place. Kundali Bhagya, where he played Shaurya Luthra, marked his acting debut. He was initially nervous about acting in a fiction show but his mother encouraged him. He announced his exit from the show in June 2024 but remained until it ended in December 2024. Kundali Bhagya ended its run of nearly seven years.
Ali feels his time in Mumbai and Kundali Bhagya has transformed him, teaching him responsibility and changing him "from that boy to a man". His mother also felt he was finally ready for Bigg Boss. Ali had been offered Bigg Boss before, but he had to decline due to his commitments to Kundali Bhagya.
Ali acknowledges his popularity but knows that it alone won't guarantee a win on Bigg Boss. He believes that the audience will choose their favorites based on personality. He aims to win the show and have a memorable journey. He is inspired by past contestants like Imam Siddiqui and Pooja Mishra. He is also open to finding genuine connections in the house, acknowledging that relationships formed in the Bigg Boss house can be real while inside.
Hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss 19 has a "Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar" theme, giving housemates control over decisions and the show's direction. The confirmed contestants include Gaurav Khanna, Ashnoor Kaur, Awez Darbar, Nagma Mirajkar, Pranit More, Kunickaa Sadanand, Amaal Malik, Zeishan Quadri, Abhishek Bajaj, Tanya Mittal, Neelam Giri, Mridul Tiwari, Natalia Janoszek, and Farhana Bhatt.
Ali hopes that Colors TV will offer him Khatron Ke Khiladi or Laughter Chef after Bigg Boss, expressing his eagerness to participate in more reality shows.
