The highly anticipated teaser for the pan-Indian film Vrushabha, starring Mohanlal, was released on September 18, 2025, sending fans into a frenzy. The film, directed by Nanda Kishore, promises a grand spectacle with high-octane action, emotional father-son drama, and a storyline spanning generations.

Mohanlal's first look as a warrior king in the film has already generated significant buzz. The poster showcases him in warrior mode, with swords in hand, untamed hair, and a nose ring, exuding a raw and commanding presence. The teaser hints at two storylines, one set in the present and another in a period setting, where Mohanlal is expected to play a king. This marks the first time Mohanlal will portray a king in a bilingual epic.

Vrushabha explores the karmic bond between a father and son, who were once sworn enemies in a past life and are now reborn into a fragile relationship. As ancient grudges resurface, the film delves into the blurring lines between love and vengeance, questioning whether blood can overpower revenge. Set against a backdrop of royal intrigue, spiritual mysticism, and epic battles, the story journeys through time and emotion, exploring the themes of destiny and choice.

The film boasts a stellar cast, including Mohanlal, Roshan Meka, Shanaya Kapoor, Zahrah S Khan, Ragini Dwivedi, and Meka Srikanth. Roshan Meka plays Mohanlal's son in the film. Vrushabha also marks the debut of Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor. Neha Saxena plays Yashodha, one of the important characters in the narrative.

Nanda Kishore, the writer and director of Vrushabha, aims to deliver a visually grand and emotionally charged epic, blending mythological storytelling with modern cinematic flair. He acknowledged the challenges and expressed his determination to make a mark with this pan-Indian film.

The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, Connekkt Media, and AVS Studios, making it a collaborative venture in Indian cinema. Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, C.K.
