The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the registration process for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026 on October 17, 2025. Aspiring candidates seeking admission into management programs in AICTE-affiliated institutions can now submit their applications through the official website, cmat.nta.nic.in. The deadline for online applications is November 17, 2025, while the last date for application fee submission is November 18, 2025.
CMAT is a national-level entrance examination for MBA admissions to over 1000 AICTE-approved PGDM institutions, university MBA departments, and affiliated colleges across India. The CMAT 2026 exam is expected to be held on January 24, 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet confirmed the date of CMAT 2026 but said the exam schedule will be released on the official website later on.
How to Apply for CMAT 2026
Candidates can follow these steps to complete the CMAT 2026 application form:
- Visit the official NTA CMAT website: cmat.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the "CMAT 2026 Registration" link.
- Register online by providing the required details.
- Log in and fill out the CMAT 2026 application form.
- Upload the necessary documents. Ensure that the photo is between 10-200 KB and signature is between 10-50 KB. Certificates should be between 50-300 KB.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Submit the application form and download the confirmation page.
- Print a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.

The application fee varies based on the candidate's category:
- General category (Male): ₹2,500
- Female candidates: ₹1,250
- Gen-EWS, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, PwD/PwBD, and Third Gender categories: ₹1,250

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for CMAT 2026, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline. Students appearing for their final year exams, whose results will be declared before the 2026-27 academic session, are also eligible to apply. There is no age limit for the CMAT exam.
Exam Details
The CMAT 2026 exam will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT). The exam assesses candidates in five areas: Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The exam duration is 180 minutes. The question paper will be in English only.
