Priyanka Chopra Jonas has revealed some of the Hindi words her husband, Nick Jonas, has picked up since their marriage. During a recent "Ask Me Anything" session on X (formerly Twitter), the actress shared the words Nick knows, delighting fans with the details of their intercultural life.
When a fan asked what Hindi words she has taught Nick, Priyanka responded with a mix of humor and affection, saying, "Khana, paani, pyaar, paneer but I think he picked it all up himself! @nickjonas". The words she listed translate to "food, water, love, and cheese". Her response revealed not only Nick's growing familiarity with Hindi but also the couple's playful rapport, which fans have always admired.
Priyanka and Nick's relationship has been in the public eye since they started dating in 2018. Nick reportedly proposed after just two months of dating. They married in December 2018 in a lavish ceremony held at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, with both Christian and Hindu rites. Their wedding was a blend of cultures, much like their relationship. In January 2022, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Malti Marie, via surrogacy.
Nick has often expressed his admiration for Indian culture, Bollywood music, and desi food. He is often seen at traditional Hindu puja rituals that Priyanka organizes for their family on special days like Karwa Chauth and Diwali.
Priyanka, who has been living in Los Angeles, is making a return to Indian cinema with a Telugu film directed by SS Rajamouli, also starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. When asked about her experience with the Telugu film industry, she expressed enthusiasm about her new project. "It's still early days for me on the movie but it's been Adiri poyindi!!!!" she wrote, using a Telugu phrase herself. She also couldn't resist praising the local cuisine, declaring that Hyderabad's biryani is "the best in the world".
During the AMA session, Priyanka also shared a heartwarming memory from the Globetrotter set when her daughter visited Hyderabad. "My daughter has been to the set in Hyderabad and had the best time with urstrulyMahesh and Namrata's beautiful daughter Sitara. She also went to ssrajamouli's farm and met a calf — that's her favorite memory," she shared.
The actress is quite active on social media and often shares glimpses from her personal life on Instagram. Last month, she posted a series of pictures from her getaway to Orlando, featuring a romantic image with her husband Nick Jonas and their daughter Malti posing with a mermaid. In one of the pictures, Nick was seen hugging Priyanka. Priyanka captioned the post, "Ohana means family".
