Mumbai, November 15, 2025 – Television star Tejasswi Prakash recently shared her struggles with sleepless nights, revealing that she often spends hours simply staring at the ceiling fan. The actress made this candid revelation during an appearance on comedians Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbaachiya's podcast show.
During the conversation, Haarsh attempted to lighten the mood by suggesting that sleeping early could solve her problem. However, Tejasswi responded, "No, I don't get sleep anyhow. I just lie down...I just lie down and keep looking at the fan for hours". She emphasized that she avoids using her phone or watching television in bed, eliminating potential distractions.
Tejasswi further described the frustration of watching hours pass without sleep, sometimes witnessing the sunrise through her curtains. "Seriously, there are so many nights in a week that I don't sleep at all. Not even for a minute," she confessed. Living in a ground-level row house, she is often awakened by the sounds of birds in the early morning, a stark reminder of her sleepless night.
When asked how she manages to function the following day with such little sleep, Tejasswi explained that this has been an ongoing issue for about a year. Initially, she felt irritated and cranky due to the lack of sleep. "I used to be so tired that ideally I should have crashed to bed instantly, but no, I was wide awake. That would make my day go bad and make me even more cranky," she said.
However, Tejasswi has since adopted a more positive mindset. "But after a while, I realised that 'even though I didn't sleep the last night, why should I waste the next day?' So now I wake up and say, 'That it's okay, I didn't sleep, and it's fine,'" she shared.
Despite her ongoing battle with sleeplessness, Tejasswi continues to maintain a busy schedule. She mentioned that on the day of the podcast recording, she had only slept for five hours, from 6 AM to 11 AM. Haarsh expressed surprise at her ability to function on such limited sleep, to which she simply replied, "I just can't sleep!".
Tejasswi Prakash has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry for over a decade. She gained recognition for her role in "Swaragini" and further solidified her fame through her participation in "Bigg Boss" season 15. She also played the lead role in Ekta Kapoor's "Naagin". In addition to her television work, Prakash has spoken about her journey to self-acceptance and the importance of being financially independent. She has also shared her experiences with criticism and self-doubt, emphasizing the importance of self-worth.
