'Dhurandhar', directed by Aditya Dhar of "Uri: The Surgical Strike" fame, is slated for a theatrical release on December 5, 2025. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The trailer, which was recently unveiled, has generated significant buzz online, showcasing intense action and a gripping plot.
The film is reportedly made on a grand scale and is one of the most expensive Bollywood productions of the year. Reportedly, the film's budget is approximately ₹280 crore. A substantial portion of this budget has been allocated to the cast's salaries. Besides Ranveer Singh's hefty paycheck, Sanjay Dutt has reportedly charged ₹10 crore for his role as SP Chaudhary Aslam, also known as "The Djinn". R. Madhavan, playing an Indian intelligence officer named Ajay Sanyal, has been paid ₹9 crore. Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal have reportedly received ₹2.5 crore and ₹1 crore, respectively. Sara Arjun, who plays Ranveer Singh's romantic interest, has also been paid approximately ₹1 crore.
The film is touted as a high-octane spy thriller with international plots, covert missions, and explosive action. There are speculations that 'Dhurandhar' might be released in two parts, with the first installment hitting theaters in December 2025 and the second potentially following in 2026.
