Jay Pawar, son of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, tied the knot with Rituja Patil on December 5. Rituja is the daughter of Pravin Patil from Phaltan, Satara, who runs a social media company. The wedding celebrations were held in Bahrain, with approximately 400 guests in attendance.

A video of Ajit Pawar dancing to "Zingaat," a popular song from the movie Sairat, went viral on social media. The wedding invitation revealed that the families organized a four-day traditional and cultural celebration from December 4 to 7, 2025. The schedule included events such as Mehndi on December 4, Haldi, Baraat, and the wedding ceremony on December 5, a Sangeet कार्यक्रम on December 6, and a reception on December 7. These ceremonies reflected the family's cultural heritage and traditions.

The absence of Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule from the wedding was noted, reportedly due to the ongoing winter session of Parliament. Despite their absence, the wedding was a grand affair, with the Pawar and Patil families going all out to celebrate the union of Jay and Rituja.
