Nitin Nabin Slams Rahul Gandhi: Accuses Congress Leader of Only Visiting Bihar for Election Campaigns.

Patna, Bihar – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Working President Nitin Nabin has launched a sharp critique against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, labeling him a "part-time politician" who only appears in Bihar during election cycles. Nabin's comments came during an address to party workers in Patna on Tuesday.

Nabin, who recently assumed the role of BJP National Working President on December 14, 2025, marked his first visit to Bihar with a show of strength, holding a roadshow in Patna. The 45-year-old leader also serves as the Minister of Road Construction in the Bihar Cabinet. His appointment as the National Working President is viewed as a significant generational shift within the BJP, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for "Viksit Bharat 2047".

During his address, Nabin asserted that the BJP would triumph in the upcoming assembly polls in West Bengal and Kerala, predicting that "part-time politicians like Rahul Gandhi would be punished by voters". He also accused Gandhi of disrespecting India during a recent trip to Germany.

Nabin's remarks underscore the BJP's strategy of targeting Rahul Gandhi's political engagement and commitment. By portraying him as a "part-time politician," the BJP aims to undermine his credibility and appeal to voters, particularly in states where the Congress party is a significant contender.

Nabin's political journey began after his father's death in 2006, when he was asked by the party to contest elections. He is a five-time MLA from Bihar and has served twice as a minister in the state government. He is considered a product of disciplined, cadre-based politics.

The BJP's decision to appoint Nabin as National Working President reflects the party's emphasis on grassroots leadership and organizational strength. It also signals a strategic investment in Bihar, where the BJP seeks to build a strong and caste-neutral leadership. Nabin's elevation is seen as a move to decentralize BJP leadership and ground it in grassroots organization.

Nabin thanked the party leadership for his appointment, recalling his late father's ideals and praising Prime Minister Modi's leadership. He emphasized that BJP workers remain active at all times, unlike other parties, and are prepared in every state.
