A chilling video has gone viral showing a wild boar attacking and pinning down a forest officer in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, for approximately two minutes. The incident occurred in Sirsauli village, Ujhani, where a Forest Department team had been dispatched following complaints from villagers about wild boars causing damage to crops.

The forest department team, including forest officer Subham Pratap Singh, was attempting to trap the wild boars when the incident unfolded. While some members were laying nets, others tried to steer the animal toward the trap. Suddenly, a wild boar turned aggressive and charged at Singh, knocking him to the ground.

The now-viral video captures the intense struggle as the boar repeatedly attacked the forest officer, biting him and refusing to retreat. Two men attempted to rescue Singh by striking the animal with sticks, but the boar continued its assault for a prolonged period. Despite their efforts, the wild boar continued its aggressive attack for several moments.

Singh sustained serious injuries during the attack and was rushed to a hospital in Bareilly for treatment. According to reports, his condition is now stable and improving.

DFO Nidhi Chauhan stated that a rescue operation to capture the wild boar has been initiated and that they are working to resolve the issue for the villagers.

This is not an isolated incident, as wild boar attacks are reportedly rampant in areas with human-animal conflict. In October 2025, two forest officials in Thiruvananthapuram were injured when a wild boar hit their vehicle, causing them to fall and then attacking them. These incidents highlight the increasing encounters between humans and wildlife, raising concerns about safety and the need for effective management strategies.
