The upcoming war drama "Border 2" is generating buzz with its patriotic themes and star-studded cast. In a recent promotional event, actors Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty were seen dancing with Indian Navy officers to the film's song, ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’. This heartwarming display of camaraderie and national pride has resonated with audiences and further amplified the anticipation for the film.
The event took place at the Karwar Naval Base in Karnataka on January 14, a strategically significant location that houses INS Vikrant, India's first indigenously built aircraft carrier. The "Border 2" team organized the event to pay tribute to the Indian Navy, acknowledging their service and dedication to the nation.
A source told Bollywood Hungama that the cast and crew met with naval officers and sailors, creating a celebratory atmosphere. The film's songs were also showcased during the event. Ahan Shetty plays a naval officer in "Border 2," adding a personal connection to the event. The team felt it appropriate to organize an event at a naval base, and they were granted permission to do so.
"Border 2" has been employing an unconventional publicity strategy, opting for authentic military locations over traditional media launches. The song ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ was initially unveiled on January 2 at Longewala-Tanot, near Jaisalmer, in the presence of army personnel and their families. Following this, ‘Jaate Hue Lamhon’ was launched at the United Services Club in Mumbai, situated within a Navy residential cantonment.
The song "Ghar Kab Aaoge" is receiving a lot of love from music lovers. It is sung by Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Roop Kumar Rathod, Vishal Mishra and Diljit Dosanjh. The track is a recreation by Mithoon with additional lyrics by Manoj Muntashir. Earlier, Sonu Nigam stated that being a part of the patriotic number felt like homecoming to him. He dedicated "Ghar Kab Aaoge" to the soldiers and their families on his Instagram handle.
"Border 2" is directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. The film stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Varun Dhawan will be seen essaying the role of Param Vir Chakra awardee Hoshiar Singh. The film is slated to release in cinemas on January 23.
Sunny Deol's association with Border goes back to the original 1997 film. He revealed that he decided to do 'Border' because he liked his father Dharmendra's film 'Haqeeqat'.
