On their 25th wedding anniversary, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna celebrated their enduring "madness" with a touch of humor and a whole lot of love. Akshay Kumar marked the occasion by sharing a lighthearted video of Twinkle Khanna dancing to Usha Uthup's "Ramba Ho Ho Ho Samba Ho Ho Ho".
In the Instagram post, Akshay reflected on their journey, recalling a piece of advice from his mother-in-law, Dimple Kapadia, from their wedding day in 2001. According to Akshay, Dimple had warned him to "be ready to burst out laughing in the most weird situations" because Twinkle would instigate them.
Akshay playfully acknowledged that his mother-in-law was right about Twinkle, noting that she "refuses to even walk straight… she prefers to dance through life instead". He captioned the video with a heartfelt message: "25 years and I know ki meri mother-in-law kabhi jhooth nahi bolti hai…her daughter refuses to even walk straight… she prefers to dance through life instead. From day one to year twenty five, cheers to my lady who keeps me laughing, guessing and slightly anxious at times! Happy anniversary to us, Tina. 25 years of madness that we both love". He affectionately refers to Twinkle as Tina in his post.
The couple, who were reportedly introduced at a common friend's party, fell in love during the filming of "International Khiladi". They married on January 17, 2001, in an intimate ceremony with close friends and family. They are now parents to two children, son Aarav and daughter Nitara.
This isn't the first time Akshay has teased Twinkle about her dancing. In August 2025, he responded to a video of Twinkle attempting to recreate Madhuri Dixit's steps from the song "Tamma Tamma," quipping, "Talent - questionable. Confidence - unshakable. Wife – priceless".
Twinkle, known for her wit and humor, is set to co-host a talk show with Kajol titled 'Too Much with Twinkle and Kajol', which will stream on Prime Video. Meanwhile, Akshay is preparing for the release of 'Jolly LLB 3', directed by Subhash Kapoor, slated for release on September 19. The film features Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Saurabh Shukla, and Annu Kapoor.
The couple's 25th-anniversary celebration reflects their playful relationship and the joy they find in each other's company.
