"56 Days" Trailer Released: Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia Lead Prime Video's Thrilling Erotic Crime Story

Prime Video has released the official trailer for its upcoming erotic crime thriller, "56 Days," starring Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia. The eight-episode series, adapted from Catherine Ryan Howard's bestselling novel, is set to premiere on February 18, 2026, with all episodes dropping simultaneously.

"56 Days" centers on Ciara Wyse (Dove Cameron) and Oliver Kennedy (Avan Jogia), two strangers who meet in a supermarket and quickly become intensely involved. The whirlwind romance takes a dark turn when, 56 days into their relationship, homicide investigators discover an unidentified body in Oliver's apartment. The body has been brutally murdered and intentionally decomposed, raising the central question: Did Oliver kill Ciara, or did Ciara kill Oliver?

The series unfolds in two timelines. One timeline follows the present-day investigation, while the other explores the twisted trajectory of Ciara and Oliver's intense affair. This structure aims to create both a compelling crime puzzle and a sexy, psychological thriller. The trailer teases a rapid love affair that ends in a horrific murder, leaving viewers to question who is dead and who is to blame. Secrets and reveals seem to be a recurring theme, with the trailer hinting that neither character is who they initially appear to be.

Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher wrote and executive produced "56 Days". James Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett also served as executive producers through Atomic Monster. Sandrine Gros d'Aillon is also an executive producer, and Danielle Bozzone oversaw the series for Atomic Monster. Catherine Ryan Howard, the author of the novel, is a co-executive producer. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Atomic Monster.

The cast also includes Karla Souza as Lee Reardon and Dorian Missick as Karl Connolly, who portray the detectives investigating the case. Megan Peta Hill, Patch Darragh, Kira Guloien, Celeste Oliva, Jesse James Keitel, Matt Murray, David Klein, and Alec Albert also appear in the series. Alethea Jones directed the series. Nathan Barr composed the score for the series.

"56 Days" joins a long list of erotic thrillers, a film subgenre that combines romance and erotic appeal with a dangerous thriller narrative. These films often incorporate elements of criminality and duplicity, using softcore sex as a component of the storyline.

Prime Video will release all eight episodes of "56 Days" on February 18, 2026, in over 240 countries and territories.
