The Marathi web series "Devkhel," starring Ankush Chaudhari and Prajakta Mali, has unveiled its trailer, offering a glimpse into a psychological crime thriller set against the backdrop of Kokan's folklore and traditions. The series is set to release on January 30 on ZEE5.

"Devkhel" weaves a narrative that blends tradition, superstition, and crime during the festive season of Shimga (Holi) in the coastal village of Devtali in Ratnagiri. The story revolves around a local belief that every Holi night, a villager dies as a divine punishment inflicted by Shankasur, a mythical folk character.

The arrival of Inspector Vishwas Saranjame, played by Ankush Chaudhari, disrupts this belief. He refuses to accept the deaths as mere acts of superstition and suspects foul play, believing them to be carefully concealed murders. Chaudhari's character is determined to uncover the truth behind the deaths, suspecting the presence of a serial killer. This series marks Ankush Chaudhari's debut in the OTT space.

Prajakta Mali plays Sarika Nimkar, a character connected to Inspector Vishwas's past, adding another layer of complexity to the investigation.
