Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has announced his next film, tentatively titled L367, which will be directed by Vishnu Mohan, known for his National Award-winning debut film Meppadiyan. The announcement was made on January 26, 2026, coinciding with India's Republic Day.

Mohanlal shared the news via his social media, expressing his excitement about collaborating with Vishnu Mohan and seeking blessings for the new venture. He wrote, "With immense joy, I announce my next project, #L367. I am truly delighted to collaborate with director Vishnu Mohan on this exciting venture, produced by Shri Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. Looking forward to this new chapter and seeking all your love, blessings, and good wishes as we begin this beautiful journey together".

The film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under Sree Gokulam Movies, with Baiju Gopalan and V C Praveen as co-producers and Krishnamoorthy as the executive producer. L367 is planned to be a large-scale production, potentially uniting talent from international cinema and Bollywood.

Vishnu Mohan's directorial debut, Meppadiyan, was a drama thriller released in 2022, starring Unni Mukundan. The film garnered positive reviews and won the National Award for Best First Film of a Director in 2023. Kadha Innuvare, released in 2024, is another film written and directed by Vishnu Mohan.

The first-look poster of L367 features a road with cars traveling in opposite directions, hinting at a thriller. Shooting is expected to commence soon, with cast and crew details to be announced shortly.

Mohanlal has several other projects in the pipeline. Patriot, a thriller directed by Mahesh Narayanan and co-starring Mammootty, Nayanthara, and Fahadh Faasil, is slated for release on April 23, 2026. He is also working on L366 with director Tharun Moorthy. Mohanlal's upcoming releases also include L2: Empuraan, Hridayapoorvam, and Vrushabha.
