Suniel Shetty recently reminisced about his time working with Divya Bharti on the film Mohra. The actress tragically passed away very early in production, leaving a void in the hearts of many and causing the film's production to be stalled.

Shetty described Bharti as a "fearless" individual. He recalled the few days they spent filming together, emphasizing her dedication and vibrant personality. According to reports, the duo managed to film a few scenes before Bharti's untimely demise.

Mohra, released in 1994, was initially planned with Divya Bharti in the lead role. After her death, Raveena Tandon stepped in to replace her, reshooting the scenes that Bharti had already filmed. The film, directed by Rajiv Rai, went on to become a major box office success, becoming the second-highest-grossing Indian film of that year.

The film starred Naseeruddin Shah, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Raveena Tandon in leading roles. Mohra was a significant milestone for Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, solidifying their positions in the film industry.

Reportedly, Mohra was offered to several actresses after Bharti's death, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sridevi. Aishwarya Rai couldn't accept the role because she was preparing for Miss World.

The soundtrack of Mohra was a massive hit, with songs like "Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast" becoming immensely popular. The album sold over 8 million units, making it one of the best-selling Bollywood soundtrack albums of 1994.

Mohra received nine Filmfare nominations in 1995, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Music Director. The film's success cemented its place as a classic in Indian cinema.
