On July 14, 2025, two passengers were offloaded from a SpiceJet flight SG 9282, scheduled to travel from Delhi to Mumbai, after they allegedly attempted to enter the cockpit while the plane was taxiing. The incident occurred at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) and resulted in a significant delay of the flight.

According to reports, the two female passengers started quarrelling and then tried to approach the cockpit, creating panic among the crew and other passengers. Despite repeated requests from the cabin crew, fellow passengers, and the captain to return to their seats, they refused to comply. The captain, prioritizing the safety of everyone on board, decided to return the aircraft to the bay. The unruly passengers were then handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for further action.

A SpiceJet spokesperson stated that the two passengers "attempted to forcefully approach the cockpit and caused a disruption while the aircraft was taxiing". The incident led to a delay of seven hours, with the flight eventually departing at 7:21 PM, instead of its scheduled departure time of 12:30 PM.
