Ammy Virk, another well-known Punjabi actor and singer, has committed to supporting 200 affected families who have lost their homes. Virk and his team are adopting 200 houses to provide shelter and long-term support. In a statement shared on social media, Virk expressed his sorrow over the devastation and emphasized the importance of providing hope, dignity, and strength to those who have lost everything. Recognizing the need to focus on relief efforts, Virk and the team behind his upcoming film, "Nikka Zaildar 4," have postponed the film's release from September to October 2, 2025. This decision ensures that the spotlight remains on the recovery efforts in the flood-hit regions. The team also plans to visit the affected areas to provide rations and other necessary items.
Sonam Bajwa, a leading actress in Punjabi cinema, has also shown her support for the flood victims. As part of the "Nikka Zaildar 4" team, Bajwa has backed the decision to postpone the film's release to prioritize relief efforts. In an Instagram post, Bajwa shared the revised release date and emphasized the team's commitment to standing by the people of Punjab during these challenging times. The team is planning to visit the flood-affected areas to provide support and essential supplies.
