Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep is grappling with the profound loss of his mother, Saroja Sanjeev, who passed away on October 20, 2024, at the age of 86. Saroja Sanjeev had been battling age-related ailments and was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru after experiencing breathing issues. Her death has deeply affected Sudeep and his family, with condolences pouring in from fans, colleagues, and prominent figures.

In a heartfelt statement released on social media, Sudeep expressed the immense pain and disbelief he feels. He described his mother as the most unbiased, loving, forgiving, caring, and giving person in his life, emphasizing the void her absence has created. He wrote about how difficult it was to accept the reality of her passing and the suddenness with which everything changed.

Sudeep recounted the events leading up to his mother's death, sharing a poignant detail about their last communication. He revealed that his mother would send him a "Good morning" text every day around 5:30 AM. On the day his mother was hospitalized, he didn't receive her text, and he was occupied with shooting for "Bigg Boss Kannada 11". He received a call just before going on stage that his mother was hospitalized. He later learned that she had been put on a ventilator minutes before he reached the hospital, and he was unable to see her while she was still conscious.

Almost a year after her death, Sudeep spoke at an event in Bengaluru about how difficult it has been for him and his family to cope with the loss. He shared that it's hard for him to come downstairs at home and see the empty chair where his mother always sat. Looking at photos from a year ago and recalling the times he spent with his mother often makes him very emotional.

Sudeep also expressed his concern for his father, Sanjeev, who was married to his mother for over 50 years, and is also going through the grief.

Saroja Sanjeev's last rites were held at the Wilson Garden crematorium in Bengaluru. Her passing marks the end of an era for the Sudeep family, and she will be fondly remembered by those who knew her and those who followed her son's successful career.
