A disturbing video has surfaced showing a law student at Amity University in Lucknow being brutally assaulted by classmates. The incident, which allegedly took place on August 26, 2025, in the university's parking lot, involves a second-year law student, Shikhar Mukesh Kesarwani, who was reportedly slapped multiple times inside a vehicle.

Reports indicate that the victim was allegedly slapped between 26 to 60 times. The video circulating on social media shows a female student repeatedly slapping Kesarwani while instructing him to lower his hand ("haath neeche"), as he tries to shield himself from the blows. A male student is also seen assaulting Kesarwani, pushing his hand away and slapping him. The attackers can be heard questioning the victim about comments he allegedly made regarding two girls named Janvi and Somiya, as well as his "character".

Following the emergence of the video, Lucknow police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against six Amity University students. The FIR, filed at Chinhat Police Station, names Jhanvi Mishra, Ayush Yadav, Milan Banerjee, Vivek Singh, and Aryaman Shukla as the accused. Police have stated that legal proceedings are underway and further investigation is being conducted.

According to the complaint, Kesarwani and a female friend arrived at the campus parking lot to attend classes when the accused students approached him. They reportedly told Kesarwani that they needed to discuss something with him. The group then entered the friend's vehicle, where the victim was allegedly threatened, verbally abused, and assaulted for approximately 45 minutes. Kesarwani stated that he had recently undergone ligament surgery on August 11 and was using a stick to walk. He further alleged that Mishra and Yadav slapped him "at least 50 to 60 times" and also abused him and his parents, even issuing death threats. It is also alleged that Singh and Banerjee recorded the assault and circulated the video on the campus.

The university has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. The victim is reportedly traumatized following the assault. This incident is not isolated, as there have been past reports of violence involving students at Amity University campuses.
