Allu Arjun is officially set to return as Pushpa Raj in Pushpa 3: The Rampage. Director Sukumar confirmed the highly anticipated third installment of the Pushpa franchise at the SIIMA Awards 2025 in Dubai on September 6. The announcement, which followed Pushpa 2: The Rule's sweep of five major awards, was met with enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

Pushpa 2: The Rule has achieved phenomenal success, reportedly surpassing Baahubali 2 as the highest-grossing movie in India. The film won Best Actor for Allu Arjun, Best Actress for Rashmika Mandanna, Best Direction for Sukumar, Best Music Composer for Devi Sri Prasad, and Best Playback Singer (Male) for Shankar Babu Kandukuri. Allu Arjun dedicated his Best Actor award to Sukumar and the entire Pushpa team.

Following the massive success of Pushpa: The Rise and Pushpa 2: The Rule, anticipation for Pushpa 3 is high. The new film is expected to feature a new antagonist who will challenge Pushpa Raj. While there has been speculation regarding who might play the new antagonist, director Sukumar has remained tight-lipped. Names like Vijay Deverakonda and Nani have been suggested by fans.

Producer Ravi Shankar has stated that Pushpa 3: The Rampage is aiming for a 2028 release. Allu Arjun is currently committed to projects with directors Atlee and Trivikram Srinivas. Sukumar is also occupied with a film starring Ram Charan. Shankar has assured fans that the wait for Pushpa 3 will not be as long as the gap between the first two films.

Sukumar's confirmation of Pushpa 3 follows the hint in the end-credit scene of Pushpa 2, which teased a continuation of the story. The Pushpa franchise, written and directed by Sukumar, follows the rise of Pushpa Raj, a coolie who becomes a powerful figure in the red sandalwood smuggling syndicate. The films also star Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist Bhanwar Singh Shekawat.
