IGNOU December 2025 TEE Registration Open: Exam Dates, Eligibility, and Important Information Available Now

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced the registration process for the December 2025 Term End Examination (TEE). The online link for submission of the examination form is now active for eligible students. The December 2025 TEE will commence on December 1, 2025 and will be conducted in both pen and paper and computer-based test (CBT) modes.

Key Dates and Deadlines

  • Registration Start Date: September 6, 2025
  • Registration Deadline (without late fee): October 6, 2025
  • Registration Deadline (with late fee of Rs. 1,100): October 20, 2025
  • Exam Dates: December 1, 2025 to January 14, 2026

How to Register

Eligible students can submit their examination forms through the official website.

  • Visit the IGNOU Samarth portal at exam.ignou.ac.in.
  • If you are a new user, register on the portal by clicking on 'NEW REGISTRATION' and follow the instructions.
  • If you are already registered, log in to your student account to submit the examination form.
  • Fill in the application form carefully, selecting the mode of examination (Pen & Paper or CBT), courses, and exam center.
  • Pay the required examination fee online.
  • Review your application form and submit it.
  • Download the confirmation page and keep a printout for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to appear for the IGNOU December 2025 TEE, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Have paid the course fee due for the year/semester.
  • Have opted for and pursued the prescribed courses as per the Programme Guide.
  • Have submitted the examination form within the stipulated time.
  • Have submitted the required number of assignments within the due dates before taking the examination.
  • Their registration for the program should be valid.

Important Instructions

  • Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the examination center. Possession of a mobile phone may result in the cancellation of the entire semester exam.
  • Students are advised to fill the Examination Form carefully, choosing the Pen & Paper Mode or CBT Mode, Courses and Exam Centre.
  • No request for a change of Examination Centre will be entertained after submitting the Examination Form through the Samarth Portal.
  • Students are advised to check their result of June, 2025 TEE at the IGNOU website before submitting the Examination Form of December, 2025 TEE.
  • Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • Students should go through the detailed instructions published on the Samarth Portal before submitting their Examination Form.
  • Date clashes in the event of courses opted from the same Group and backlog paper will not be considered.
  • The University reserves the right to reschedule/cancel examinations/papers at any time in all the Examination Centres across the Country or in any particular Examination Centre/State due to any exigency or any other reasons.
  • Students registered for practical/lab courses, including the BLIS program, should contact their Regional Centre for the venue and schedule of exams.

Admit Card

The University will release the TEE-Dec 2025 hall ticket for students who have submitted the exam form, approximately one week before the examination. Students can download the admit card from the official website.

Tentative Date Sheet

IGNOU has released the tentative date sheet for the December 2025 TEE. The exams are expected to begin in the first week of December and continue throughout the month. Students are advised to check the official website regularly for updates and any changes to the schedule.
