Bobby Deol is showering praise on Aryan Khan, the director of the upcoming Netflix series "The Ba***ds Of Bollywood," which is set to release on September 18, 2025. Deol, who plays a superstar in the show, expressed his admiration for Aryan's dedication, conviction, and the unique fire he possesses.
Deol fondly refers to Aryan as a "child" due to the nurturing and values instilled in him by his parents, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. He noted that Aryan might initially appear closed off to those he doesn't know, but once you get to know him, you'll realize what a good man he is and enjoy his company. Deol feels lucky to be part of Aryan's debut show.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Deol shared that he immediately agreed to work with Aryan upon receiving the call from Red Chillies Entertainment, even without hearing the script. Although Aryan insisted on narrating it, Deol was captivated by his conviction and happy to be part of something special. He considers it a very special moment for him, as he has sons of his own.
Deol isn't the only one who recognizes Aryan's talent. The cast of "The Ba***ds Of Bollywood," including Raghav Juyal, Lakshya Lalwani, and Manoj Pahwa, have also lauded Aryan's dedication and involvement in every aspect of the show. Juyal mentioned that Aryan even directed the promotional Reels to maintain the same tone as the show, and Pahwa noted Aryan's presence even for minor tasks like overseeing two lines of dubbing. Deol recalled that Aryan would request multiple takes until he was satisfied with the actors' performances.
Deol emphasized that working with Aryan was like working with his own son. He admires the honesty and fire that Aryan has within him, which he considers rare in any artist. He stated that Aryan is unique and special, and this entire show is because of him.
Deol also commended Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan for raising Aryan and his siblings so well. He believes Aryan has shaped up to be a really good young man. He appreciates Aryan's ability to listen and give-and-take approach, setting him apart from many other directors he has worked with in his 30-year career.
