Mohamed Salah is headlining the nominations for the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the Year award following an exceptional 2024-2025 season. The Liverpool forward's stellar performances have earned him widespread recognition, making him a frontrunner for the prestigious accolade.
Salah's nomination comes after a season where he played a pivotal role in Liverpool's success. His contributions included a remarkable 29 goals and 18 assists in the Premier League. These statistics underscore his importance to the team and highlight his consistent ability to impact games significantly. His previous Premier League Player of the Season award was in 2017-18, during his debut season with Liverpool.

Joining Salah on the PFA Player of the Year shortlist are several other notable players such as Liverpool teammate Alexis Mac Allister, Arsenal's Declan Rice, Chelsea's Cole Palmer, Newcastle's Alexander Isak, and Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes.
Declan Rice has had a noteworthy season, achieving a career-high of nine goals and 10 assists in all competitions. The PFA Awards ceremony, where the winner will be announced, is scheduled for August 19 at Manchester Opera House. The PFA Men's Players' Player of the Year award is voted on by members of the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA), the players' trade union.
