Shefali Jariwala, the actress and model best known for her "Kaanta Laga" music video, passed away on June 27 at the age of 42. Her sudden death has shocked fans and colleagues, with many expressing their grief and paying tribute on social media.
Initial reports indicate that Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai around midnight by her husband, Parag Tyagi, and three others after suffering a cardiac arrest. Doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Recent updates suggest that Shefali's death may have been due to medical reasons, with no signs of foul play. According to sources, on June 27, despite fasting for a religious ceremony at home, she took her scheduled monthly anti-aging injection. Later that night, between 10 and 11 p.m., her health deteriorated rapidly, and she lost consciousness.
While the exact cause of death is still under investigation, some reports suggest a possible link between the anti-aging injection and a potential cardiac arrest. Authorities are awaiting postmortem and lab results to confirm the cause. Mumbai police have launched an investigation into her death and an autopsy was conducted at Cooper Hospital.
Shefali's husband, Parag Tyagi, and other family members were by her side at the hospital. Visuals from outside the hospital showed Parag in tears. He has also urged the paparazzi for privacy and asked everyone to pray for his wife.
Shefali Jariwala's last rites were held at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai on Saturday. Many of her Bigg Boss 13 co-contestants, including Mahira Sharma, Arti Singh, Paras Chhabra, Rashami Desai, and Shehnaaz Gill, attended the cremation to offer condolences to her family.
