Aamir Khan recently hosted a success party to celebrate the success of his latest film, Sitaare Zameen Par, with the young stars of the movie. The film, considered a spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par (2007), has been winning hearts across the nation and has grossed ₹122.65 Cr in its first 10 days.
The success party was held at Aamir Khan's office and was attended by the ensemble cast of the film, fondly known as the "Sitaare". The young stars include Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. A video circulating on social media shows Aamir Khan dancing and celebrating with the young cast. Gopi Krishna Varma, one of the young actors, shared a glimpse of the celebration on social media, expressing his excitement and gratitude.
Sitaare Zameen Par was released in theaters on June 20, 2025, and features Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in leading roles alongside the young cast. The film is directed by R. S. Prasanna, known for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, and is produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. The music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The screenplay is written by Divy Nidhi Sharma, and the film is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with B. Shrinivas Rao and Ravi Bhagchandka as producers.
The Multiplex Association of India felicitated Aamir Khan for his decision to release Sitaare Zameen Par exclusively in theaters, especially when many films are released on OTT platforms. Shashank Raizada, Managing Director of Delite Cinema, Delhi, praised Aamir Khan's commitment to the theatrical experience and his support for meaningful cinema.
Aamir Khan has also confirmed that he will appear in a cameo in Lokesh Kanagaraj's film Coolie, starring Rajinikanth, which is expected to be released on August 14. He is also planning to work with Lokesh Kanagaraj in an upcoming superhero film, which is expected to begin shooting in September 2026. Before that, Aamir will be shooting for Dadasaheb Phalke's biopic, directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
