Aamir Khan's "Sitaare Zameen Par" has maintained a strong performance at the box office, crossing the ₹130 crore mark in India after 12 days. The film earned approximately ₹4 crore on its second Tuesday, bringing the total domestic collection to ₹130.4 crore. Worldwide, the film is expected to reach ₹200 crore today.

The movie has demonstrated a steady run since its release on June 20, 2025. "Sitaare Zameen Par" started strong and has continued to attract audiences, performing well on weekdays in addition to weekends. The film's box office collection surpassed the lifetime domestic earnings of Salman Khan's "Sikandar," which earned ₹129.95 crore. It is now approaching Akshay Kumar's "Sky Force," which made ₹134.93 crore earlier in the year.

The film's opening weekend collections were robust, with ₹10.7 crore on Friday, ₹20.2 crore on Saturday, and ₹27.25 crore on Sunday. Throughout its opening week, the film hovered around the ₹6-9 crore mark. The second weekend saw impressive growth, with ₹12.6 crore and ₹14.5 crore earned on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. However, there was a significant drop on the second Monday, with earnings of ₹3.75 crore. Despite this dip, the film saw a slight improvement on Tuesday, earning ₹4 crore.

On its twelfth day, "Sitaare Zameen Par" had an overall Hindi occupancy of 18.29%. Evening and night shows had higher occupancy rates of 20.79% and 25.84%, respectively, compared to morning shows at 11.01%.

"Sitaare Zameen Par" is directed by R.S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The film stars Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh, Brijendra Kala, and Dolly Ahluwalia in key roles. The film also introduces ten new young actors: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.

The movie focuses on a basketball coach (played by Aamir Khan) training players with special needs and highlights the importance of supporting diverse stories in cinema. Aamir Khan has emphasized that supporting diverse narratives gives creators the freedom to tell different kinds of stories.

"Sitaare Zameen Par" is considered a spiritual sequel to Aamir Khan's 2007 film, "Taare Zameen Par".
