Actress Surveen Chawla recently shared a chilling experience she had while vacationing in Bali with her family. During an interview, Chawla recounted a story that involved a seemingly innocent photograph and a series of unsettling events that followed.
Chawla explained that her family, including her aunt, had traveled to Bali and were staying in two villas. One villa housed the younger members of the family, while the other accommodated the older generation. One evening, some Balinese women were performing traditional prayers and rituals at the villa where the older family members were staying. Chawla’s uncle, captivated by their beauty in their traditional attire, decided to take a photograph of them.
The following day, an unsettling incident occurred: Chawla’s aunt fell into a pond at the other villa. While this was already a cause for concern, the story took a turn for the bizarre when the uncle reviewed the photograph he had taken the previous evening. To his shock, the image now depicted the women with what Chawla described as "two Dracula teeth". The change was disturbing, as the women appeared normal in person and in the original image on the camera.
Understandably alarmed, the uncle immediately deleted the photo from his phone, and from the deleted items as well. The family, already shaken by the aunt's accident, decided to cut their trip short and return home. Chawla emphasized the creepiness of the situation, highlighting that the teeth were not visible when the photo was taken, making the alteration in the image all the more unsettling.
The actress, who is promoting her new horror show "Andhera," shared this story as a real-life brush with the unexplained. While Chawla doesn't explicitly state that she believes in ghosts, she respects others' beliefs and admits to being scared of dismissing the possibility altogether. She doesn't want to have an experience that would force her to believe.
Chawla's eerie Bali encounter adds to the collection of chilling stories associated with the region, which is known for its rich spiritual traditions and folklore. Whether attributed to paranormal forces or simply a trick of the mind, the tale serves as a reminder that sometimes, the most unsettling experiences are those that defy logical explanation.
