Mugafi, an AI-driven entertainment-tech studio, has announced a strategic partnership with Avalanche to launch a dedicated Entertainment IP Launchpad for tokenizing entertainment intellectual property (IP). The collaboration aims to bring real-world entertainment assets like films, anime, music, and sports on-chain as tokenized Real-World Assets (RWAs).
The partnership seeks to address structural inefficiencies in entertainment financing, where access to assets has been limited to studios, private equity, and legacy gatekeepers, despite the industry being worth $2.2 trillion. Mugafi aims to democratize access and participation, allowing retail audiences, creators, and Web3 communities to have ownership, yield, and decision-making power.
Mugafi's AI systems, VED and Pulse, are trained on over 20,000 scripts and a million stories to enable high-precision IP evaluation. Their recent film release, Kuberaa, grossed $35 million. The company has a pipeline of 10 films and over 1,000 IPs, with potential sports IP acquisitions. Mugafi is backed by investors like HashedEM, Nexus VP, and StartupXSeed, as well as industry leaders from Netflix, Amazon, Excel Entertainment, and Panorama Studios.
Vipul Agarwal, CEO of Mugafi, stated that the partnership with Avalanche will enable them to bring institutional-quality IPs on-chain with the necessary speed, security, and scalability. Devika Mittal, Regional Head at Ava Labs, added that the collaboration combines institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure with high-quality entertainment IPs.
In the short term, Mugafi and Avalanche plan to finance over $10 million in entertainment IPs, onboard 25,000 early participants, and successfully fund 5-10 projects. The partnership is expected to create 350-500 direct jobs in AI/ML, production, blockchain operations, distribution, and compliance. Additionally, over 1,500 creator and studio opportunities are anticipated within 18 months, supporting Mugafi's ecosystem across India, the GCC, the USA, Japan, and Korea.
Mugafi's launchpad tokenizes over $1 billion worth of film, anime, music, sports, and comic IP, allowing global investors to participate in entertainment-backed revenue streams with transparent, real-time tracking and 24/7 liquidity. The platform is powered by Mugafi's AI engine, IPScore, which evaluates IPs based on commercial potential, risk, and cultural relevance. The partnership with Redacted Group will provide the Redacted community with priority access to curated IP deals and early platform participation.
