Ranveer Allahbadia's response to Saurav Gurjar's threat after India's Got Latent: 'Mahabharat's Bheem will beat me?'

The controversy surrounding Ranveer Allahbadia's appearance on the YouTube show "India's Got Latent" continues to escalate, with former WWE wrestler and actor Saurav Gurjar, also known as Sanga, issuing a stern warning to the podcaster. Gurjar's reaction stems from Allahbadia's controversial remarks made on the show, which have been widely criticized as obscene and offensive.

In a video posted on X, Gurjar expressed his anger and stated that Allahbadia's comments were unacceptable. He demanded strict legal action against the YouTuber, arguing that such remarks pollute society and religion. Gurjar went so far as to say that if he were to encounter Allahbadia at any event in Mumbai, "no one, including his security, can save him".

Allahbadia's controversial question, posed to a contestant on "India's Got Latent," asked whether they would "rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?". This remark triggered widespread outrage and led to multiple FIRs being filed against Allahbadia in Assam and Mumbai.

Following Gurjar's threat, Ranveer Allahbadia has not issued any direct response to Saurav Gurjar's threat. However, amidst the escalating situation, Allahbadia's lawyer voiced concerns over escalating death threats and targeted harassment. It was also alleged that his mother, a doctor, was confronted by individuals posing as patients who hurled abuses at her.

The Supreme Court has weighed in on the matter, with Justices Surya Kant and N.K. Singh condemning Allahbadia's remarks as "disgusting," "filthy," and "insulting". While the court permitted Allahbadia to continue hosting shows on YouTube, it stipulated that his programs must maintain "the desired moral standards". The court also directed him to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

The controversy has not only affected Allahbadia but also the show's host, Samay Raina, who removed all episodes of "India's Got Latent" from his YouTube channel. Raina expressed that the recent events had been overwhelming and assured that he would cooperate with investigative agencies.

The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has also filed a case against "India's Got Latent," booking 30-40 people associated with the show. The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) condemned the show's content and called for a complete ban, urging actors, filmmakers, and technicians to cease collaboration with those involved.

Allahbadia issued a public apology, admitting his lack of judgment and stating that his comment was "not even funny". However, the apology has not quelled the outrage, and the controversy continues to generate debate on social media and in the media.

The incident raises questions about freedom of speech, the limits of humor, and the responsibility of content creators on digital platforms. It also highlights the potential consequences of online content, as Allahbadia faces legal action, public condemnation, and now, a direct threat from a former WWE wrestler.
