Nitin Nabin likely to become BJP National President uncontested, no other candidates in the running for the position.

Nitin Nabin, currently serving as the National Working President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is poised to become the party's next National President, succeeding J.P. Nadda. With no other contenders emerging for the top post, the 45-year-old leader is expected to be elected unopposed, marking a generational shift within the party.

Nitin Nabin's nomination papers were submitted on Monday by key leaders, including J.P. Nadda and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The submission, witnessed by Home Minister Amit Shah, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, and other senior figures, underscores the widespread support Nabin enjoys within the party. Leaders from various states, including Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam, and Jharkhand, also submitted nomination papers in support of Nabin. This display of unity and endorsement from top-tier leaders solidifies Nabin's path to becoming the BJP's 12th national president. He is likely to formally assume office on January 20.

Nabin's political journey began at a young age. He was first elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 2006 from the Patna West constituency. Since 2010, he has continuously represented the Bankipur Assembly Constituency, winning elections in 2010, 2015, 2020 and 2025. In the Bihar Government led by Nitish Kumar, he held key portfolios such as Minister of Road Construction, Urban Development & Housing, and Law & Justice.

Having been appointed as the National Working President of the BJP in December 2025, Nabin is the youngest leader to hold the position. Throughout his career, Nabin has actively participated in youth mobilization campaigns, including the National Unity Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir. He has also served as the BJP's in-charge for Sikkim and co-in-charge for Chhattisgarh, contributing to organizational activities and electoral campaigns in those states.

As Nabin prepares to take on the role of BJP National President, succeeding J.P. Nadda, the party anticipates a new direction in its journey of public service and nation-building. His organizational skills and administrative experience are expected to further expand the party's reach and promote the welfare policies of the BJP government.
