Motorola is set to launch its new flagship smartphone, the Motorola Signature, in India on January 23rd. This launch follows its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 earlier this month. The Motorola Signature is the first in the brand’s new Signature series, replacing the Edge flagship in the premium, non-foldable category. The phone will be available for purchase on Flipkart, Motorola's online store, and in offline retail locations.
Leaked Price Information
While Motorola has not officially revealed the price, leaks suggest the 16GB RAM/1TB storage variant could have a box price of ₹84,999. However, the actual retail price is expected to be lower. Some tipsters suggest a price of ₹64,999 for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant and ₹69,999 for the 16GB RAM/1TB storage variant. For the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, the price in India is expected to be around Rs. 82,000. In Europe, the phone launched at EUR 899.99 (around ₹1,05,000).
Confirmed and Leaked Specifications
The Motorola Signature will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. It will feature up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone is confirmed to sport a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2780 x 1264p) and a 165Hz refresh rate. The display will have a peak brightness of 6,200 nits and support Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The screen will also integrate a fingerprint sensor with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
In terms of camera, the Motorola Signature is expected to feature a triple camera setup. This includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA 828 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The front camera is expected to be a 50MP Sony LYT-500 sensor. It will support up to 8K video recording with Dolby Vision.
The phone will pack a 5,200mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. Other features include NFC, Bluetooth 6, USB 3.2, dual speakers tuned by Bose, and IP68/69 dust and water resistance. The device will have a slim profile of 6.99mm and weigh 186 grams.
The Motorola Signature will launch with Android 16 and is promised to receive seven years of OS updates and security patches. The phone will be available in two Pantone-curated colors: Carbon and Martini Olive.
Motorola is also launching a new Signature Club service, providing users with 24/7 exclusive privileges, including assistance for travel, dining, wellness, and lifestyle needs, along with access to exclusive clubs.
