The Malayalam film industry is buzzing with excitement as "Athiradi," directed by Arun Anirudhan, has officially wrapped up shooting. The movie, featuring the dynamic trio of Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, and Vineeth Sreenivasan in leading roles, is set to hit theaters on May 14, 2026.

The makers of "Athiradi" shared the news of the shooting wrap on Sunday, January 25, 2026, further fueling anticipation for the film. Tovino Thomas also amplified the excitement by posting a video on his X account capturing the cast and crew celebrating the "Pack Up".

"Athiradi" marks the first time that Basil Joseph, Tovino Thomas, and Vineeth Sreenivasan will share screen space, making it a highly anticipated collaboration. A teaser has already been released, introducing Vineeth Sreenivasan's character and offering glimpses of Basil Joseph and Tovino Thomas. The teaser suggests a mass action entertainer with all three stars showcasing distinct looks and personalities.

The film is jointly scripted by Arun Anirudhan and Paulson Skaria, who also co-wrote "Kaathal". The cast includes Riya Shibu, Zarin Shihab, and Darshana Rajendran. On the technical side, Samuel Henry is the cinematographer, Chaman Chakko is the editor, and Vishnu Vijay is the music composer. Basil Joseph is producing the film in collaboration with Dr. Ananthu Entertainments. Tovino Thomas and Sameer Thahir are co-producers.
