Pulkit Samrat is gearing up for his OTT debut in Netflix's upcoming action-packed thriller, "Glory". Known for his lover boy roles and comedic characters, Samrat is taking on a transformative role as a boxer in this series, blending sports, crime, and family drama. This marks a significant shift in his on-screen persona, and fans are excited to see a raw and intense side of his acting abilities.
Samrat revealed that portraying a boxer has been a long-time dream. "It's a dream character for me," he stated in a recent interview. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with Karan Anshuman, describing him as one of the best creators in the country. According to Samrat, he is very excited about the show.
"Glory" revolves around Raghubir Singh, a seasoned boxing coach who reconnects with his estranged sons, Dev and Ravi, after a brutal attack shatters their lives. As family tensions and past conflicts resurface, the stakes rise higher, intertwining the pursuit of Olympic glory with deadly secrets, dangerous rivalries, and the thirst for revenge. Samrat stars alongside Divyendu Sharma and Suvinder Vicky.
To prepare for the role, Samrat underwent a remarkable physical and emotional makeover, including intensive training with professional boxers to bring realism to his performance. A leaked video from the sets in Punjab showed him in a rugged avatar, fully engaged in the character. The filming in Punjab is expected to enhance the series' authenticity, given the state's rich boxing heritage. He also shared glimpses of his upgraded fitness routine on social media, further fueling anticipation for his OTT debut.
The series is produced by Mohit Shah and Karan Anshuman under Atomic Films. Samrat's previous roles include "Hunny" in the "Fukrey" film series, and Sunny Lalwani in the thriller drama "Taish". His film debut was in "Bittoo Boss" (2012), and he also appeared in the television series "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi".
Shooting for "Glory" wrapped up in mid-2025, and Samrat celebrated the milestone with his wife, Kriti Kharbanda, and the cast and crew.
