Shahid Kapoor is showering praises on his "O' Romeo" co-star, Triptii Dimri, calling her a "very good actress". The upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, is slated to release in theaters on February 13, 2026, just in time for Valentine's Day.

"O' Romeo" marks the fourth collaboration between Bhardwaj and Kapoor, following their work on "Kaminey", "Haider", and "Rangoon". The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and is based on Hussain Zaidi's book, "Mafia Queens of Mumbai".

The trailer presents Kapoor as a Mumbai gangster, deeply obsessed with Dimri's character. The narrative is expected to be dark and emotionally charged, exploring themes of love, anger, power, and fear against the backdrop of Mumbai’s dangerous streets. In the film, Dimri approaches Kapoor's character to take on a contract to kill a big-shot gangster. This agreement, based on love, sends him down a dark and bloody path.

Besides Kapoor and Dimri, the film also stars Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, and Vikrant Massey. Avinash Tiwary is set to appear in a menacing villainous role.

The trailer and poster launch event for "O' Romeo" recently grabbed attention for an unexpected reason when Nana Patekar reportedly left the venue in anger.

Reportedly, Shahid Kapoor is the highest-paid actor in "O' Romeo," having received ₹45 crore for his role, while Triptii Dimri has been paid ₹6 crore. Avinash Tiwary earned ₹7 crore for his role as Jalal, and Nana Patekar charged ₹4 crore. Disha Patani has been paid ₹2 crore for her role as a dancer in the movie.

Principal photography for "O' Romeo" began in January 2025 and took place primarily in Spain and Mumbai. The film is written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, with screenplay by Vishal Bhardwaj and Rohan Narula, and dialogues by Vishal Bhardwaj.
