King, the celebrated musician known for his chart-topping hits like "Maan Meri Jaan," "Oops," and "Tu Aake Dekhle," has released his latest romantic single, "Jo Ishq Hua". The track offers a glimpse into his highly anticipated upcoming album, Raja Hindustani.
"Jo Ishq Hua" distinguishes itself as a heartfelt ode to enduring love, emphasizing a connection that persists without the need for grand gestures or declarations. King, whose real name is Arpan, describes the song as originating from a "very honest place," reflecting a love that "simply stays".
The music video for "Jo Ishq Hua" presents a wedding-themed narrative set against the backdrop of Jaipur's royal landscapes. It features actress Shriya Pilgaonkar and traces a love story from childhood, culminating in a lifelong commitment. The video incorporates traditional Haldi and Varmala ceremonies, weaving together nostalgic school-day romance with present-day celebrations. The song builds from a gentle opening to a rich, cinematic soundscape, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere.
King, who gained prominence as a finalist on MTV India's reality show MTV Hustle in 2019, aimed for the video to be both cinematic and intimate. He stated that the song captures the warmth of love through soft, heartfelt moments and a sweeping sound.
Shriya Pilgaonkar shared her positive experience working on the project, expressing her admiration for King's music and energy. She noted that shooting in Jaipur, particularly in a palace, added a sense of timelessness to the story. Pilgaonkar described the track as a soft, romantic love story with strong emotional resonance that unfolds slowly and lingers.
"Jo Ishq Hua" is a co-composition with Aditya Dev. The song is now available on all major streaming platforms. The album Raja Hindustani is scheduled to be released on February 20, 2026.
